I had just left our village for my walk after lunch.  I always carry my camera…because you just never know!  As I headed down the valley “old road” I heard a collection of noises, that as it turned out, I interpreted correctly.  It was a collection of bleatings, bells, yells and a car horn.  I got the camera out of the case and was ready.  I have missed so many good shots by fumbling to remove the camera from the case!  As I rounded a curve in the road there was the cause of all the noise.  A flock of sheep and goats were being herded along the road by a pickup, a modern day shepherd and a sheepdog. Not quite the romantic idea of the typical Cretan Shepherd with his crook,  but close enough for the moment!
