A success story……. A long but easy process turned fruit that we had either been given or picked ourselves and a large bottle of Raki that we received as a gift from a friend, into some very tasty liqueurs.  The only cost involved was a small amount of sugar.  I used recipes that usually added Vodka as the source of alcohol and substituted Raki.  The process took about two months and resulted in three bottles, orange, lemon and pomegranate liqueurs.  These can be drunk straight or in  the summer mixed with “Sprite” (or something similar) to make a refreshing spritzer.  I was so pleased with the result that I started three more batches with the remaining Raki.  This time as an experiment I included one batch made with plum juice.
