It is 7:15 am on a very chilly morning one Saturday in March. I am off to join a group of villagers on a bus trip across the island, ending up in Chania, in the west of Crete. It was a very long day returning to our village at 9:45 in the evening. During our 4 hour stay in Chania I wandrered around, with friends, taking photographs and enjoying the sea front and the old part of town with its’ lovely pedestrian alleyways. We ended up in a traditional Greek restaurant for lunch and enjoyed a selection of Mezes with a beer. Here’s a sample of some of the sights and scenes that caught my eye.
PS Once more an apology for the haphazard arrangements of the photos. I will get the hang of it one day!

Yes it was very tiring and I managed to bring more than just photos back with me. I must have picked up some rather virulent germs on the bus and ended up with a bad cold which started late Sunday night. Very generous these neighbours of mine….they share everything!
